In line with the authorization given by the AfDB Board of Governors during the 2009 Annual General Meetings of the AfDB Group in Dakar, the Tenth Governors' Consultative Committee (GCC) meeting will be held on September 11, 2009, in Tunis.

At this meeting, GCC members will deliberate on the need for and issues relating to a sixth general capital increase for the AfDB, due to a significant increase in the demand for AfDB's development financing and related services.
