The AfDB President , Donald Kaberuka, will participate in the 4th edition of the European Development Days which will take place in Stockholm from the October 22- 24, 2009.

European Development Days (EDDs) are the main annual development event in Europe (5 000 participants, more than 200 speakers), bringing together the whole family of development.

It is an event where:

Civil Society can talk with head of states, international organizations, private sector, parliamentarians etc. for a stimulating debate on development issues;

Development professionals can exchange their views, synergize and benchmark about positive experiences (more than 120 organizations with a stand).

The 2009 edition of the EDDs are held under the overarching theme of "Citizenship and development", and with sub-themes such as:

Climate change

Economic Crisis

Democracy.
