The Private Sector Department of the African Development Bank (AfDB) is organizing a "Business Opportunities Seminar" (BOS) to be held in Nairobi on November 19, 2009.

The BOS is in line with the AfDB objective of supporting the Kenyan Government's efforts to increase private sector participation in development projects. During the BOS, the AfDB will provide an overview of its non-sovereign lending window, possible areas for AfDB private sector intervention, the spectrum of financing instruments available to AfDB clients, the eligibility requirements for borrowers, and the application procedure.

Participants will include key players in the Kenyan private sector. It is expected that, through this forum, a number of partnership and financing opportunities will be identified, through which the Bank will further its support for private investments that will benefit the Kenyan economy.
