AfDB And Morocco Negotiate Rabat-Casablanca Coast Water Supply Project

AfDB water and sanitations experts and a Moroccan delegation from the country's national water authority (ONEP) and economy ministry have entered into discussion regarding the financing of a water project in the country.

The discussions, which ran from 1-2 April 2010, focused on the Bank Group's financing of a water supply project along the Rabat-Casablanca coast.

The project, estimated at US$ 335.5 million (UA 221 million), aims at supporting government efforts to improve socio-economic and health conditions of people living in the area by ensuring the supply of drinking water to urban and rural areas. Click here for more information
