South Africa: Bafana's Coach - Carlos Alberto Parreira

Head coach Joel Santana was replaced by fellow Brazilian and former Bafana Bafana coach, Carlos Alberto Parreira.

His return was greeted with mixed feelings in South Africa, but fans hope he is the man to lead this side to the "Promised Land" in 2010.

Parreira's experience is not in doubt, having led Brazil to the ultimate prize at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the U.S. Parreira's first goal will be to steer the hosts through the group stage.
