Algeria: The Coach

30 June 2010

"Cheik" (the Elder, the Wise or the Master) Rabah Saadane is an Algerian soccer veteran; he was part of the coaching team in 1982 when Algeria disputed the "Anschluss" collusion between West Germany and Austria that saw the Desert Foxes exit the FIFA World Cup in Spain.

At the club level, he has lifted the CAF Champions League with Raja Casablanca in 1989 and the Arab Champions League title with ES Setif in 2007, the same year his current tenure as coach of the national side began.
