Freetown — Minister of information and communication yesterday relayed to the press a presidential order not to extend the June 30 sim card registration deadline despite the minister himself earlier announcing a 60 days extension.
President Ernest Bai Koroma, who is currently attending an ECOWAS summit in Cape Verde, was said not to have been briefed on the proposed move for the deadline to be deferred thus prompting his surprised action for the move to be reversed.
