Sierra Leone: Bharti Airtel Chief Executive Focuses on Nation

Freetown — Manoj Kohli, Bharti Airtel Chief Executive and other senior Executives of Bharti Airtel on Thursday, 29th July 2010 jet into Freetown for the second time in about four weeks interval of their first visit. This visit could be termed as work already started based on the Chief Executive's revealed plans in their first visit for the country and people of Sierra Leone.

It could be recalled that the deal between Bharti Airtel and Zain closed about two months ago. With a deal between the two emerging markets giants now closed, the acquisition of Zain's sub Saharan African assets represents a landmark deal for both Bharti Airtel and Zain, and for the African region itself.
