Cote d'Ivoire: PM Resolves Major Poll Hurdle

Nairobi — Cote d'Ivoire's Prime Minister Guillaume Soro has finally succeeded in resolving the stalemate which has been tearing apart the electoral commission and opposition politicians over the method of vote counting.

In a communiqué issued to the press last night, Mr Sorro said vote counting will be handled by an independent body consisting of experts which will also coordinate the electronic counting of the ballots cast during the upcoming polls.
