Uganda: Bashir Has Shs20 Trillion in London Banks - Cables

Kampala — Indicted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has taken up to $9 billion (Shs20.7 trillion) oil money out of his country and stashed it in London banks, The Guardian has reported.

Some of the looted money may be held by the partly-nationalised Lloyds Banking Group, the UK newspaper said, citing International Criminal Court chief prosecutor, Mr Luis Moreno-Ocampo's secret account to US officials.
