A 16-year-old beauty from Zimbabwe has been chosen to appear in the the Louis Vuitton's autumn/winter 2011 campaign. Nyasha Matonhodze is based in Northampton and was "discovered" by Marc Jacobs, creative director at Elite modelling agency.

Matonhodze - featured in Teen Vogue as a "face to watch" - told nymag.com about her memories of her homeland, where she was raised by her grandmother when her mother moved to England.

"I do still have memories of Zimbabwe; falling asleep in the sand, bathing outside, the warmth of the sun, and just the way of living," she told nymag.com. The teenager spoke about her "traditional" upbringing and how it has helped her to keep her on "the Christian way of life".

The Louis Vuitton campaign was shot by iconic American fashion photographer, Steven Meisel.
