The South Sudan became an independent country on July 9th, 2011 and the Government of South Sudan (GoSS) looks forward to welcoming the thousands of South Sudanese across Africa and the Diaspora who may wish to return home. In its efforts to encourage the people of South Sudan to take ownership of the governance and development of this new nation, GoSS and its international partners are proactively addressing the 'human capacity gaps' in the civil service in both federal and local government agencies.
GoSS, in partnership with the African Development Bank, has launched a CV Registry to help those who may be seeking employment opportunities in South Sudan. CVs provided through the registry will be reviewed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MoHRD) and other ministries of government and matched with appropriate openings within the public sector, where available.
South Sudan will require a skilled and dedicated workforce to put South Sudan on a path to effectively implementing its National Development Plan and other goals. It is looking for qualified human resources to help to address the upcoming challenges facing the nation and to share in the state-building process that will create the institutions necessary for viable statehood and prolonged peace.
