Africa: U.S.-Africa Business Summit Convening in D.C. Oct. 5-7; Huge Investment Opportunities in Africa Explored

WHAT: The Summit is the premier event for finding and building partnerships with senior government and business leaders from the U.S. and Africa, at an opportune time when foreign direct investment in Africa has increased from $9 billion in 2000 to $62 billion in 2008. There will be 32 workshops and plenary sessions, a trade expo and “The Vault”, connecting projects and entrepreneurs.

Africa’s most promising sectors will be highlighted, including agribusiness, infrastructure, energy, health, power, goods and services and security. There also will be country-sponsored Doing Business Forums, which delve into trade opportunities offered by Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
