Uganda: Our Engineers Can Do More for the Development of Country

It is exciting that our very own students can design a car using state-of-the-art-technology just like their counterparts at Nissan or Renault. It is heartening to know that our students are not, as has been variously noted, more theoretical than practical.

Now that Makerere seems to have overcome this perennial accusation of churning out theoretical students and as we celebrate this technological wonder, we should ask the next logical questions about this project: is car technology what need as a country?
