Yida — The international community should act urgently to provide assistance to thousands of people affected by conflict in Blue Nile and South Kordofan states in Sudan, and the many refugees who have fled across the border into South Sudan, say South Sudan officials and NGOs.
The refugees are fleeing ongoing fighting between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) in the two states. In South Kordofan, a nine-month conflict has left thousands there vulnerable.
