Mtwara — NINETY five per cent of residents affected by the natural gas project have been compensated to pave way for the laying of pipes from Mnazi Bay in Mtwara to Dar es Salaam.
Mtwara District Commissioner, Mr Wilman Kapenjana Ndile said over the weekend that the exercise to pay the remaining five per cent will be completed by October 29, this year."We are currently carrying out mass mobilization for the public to get ready for gas benefits," said the DC while briefing members of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) Board of Directors who toured the region.
