African Development Bank Group President Donald Kaberuka met with Uganda's Head of State, Yoweri Museveni, on Tuesday, November 6 in Kampala.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to Africa's development prospects, regional integration and cooperation between the AfDB and Uganda, with a particular focus on the Bank's contribution to infrastructure in the country.

On the heels of the seventh African Economic Conference, which wrapped up in Kigali, Rwanda, on Friday, November 2, President Kaberuka travelled to neighbouring Uganda and Kenya, and took the opportunity to visit road infrastructure projects in the region. Kaberuka travelled by road from Rwanda via Kisoro and Kabale - a stretch of the road that was financed by the Bank.

While in Uganda, President Kaberuka gave a public lecture at Victoria Hall in the Kampala Serena Hotel, which was attended by at least 1,000 invited guests and members of the public.
