Djibouti's National Committee on Human Rights (CNDH) has denied that hundreds of people have been detained in protests of the February 22nd legislative elections, the Djiboutian Information Agency reported Monday (March 4th).
"The CNDH rejects the false information reported by some organisations involved in the defence of human rights," said CNDH Secretary General Djibril Houffaneh Osman. "[Their information] is erroneous and they are involved in an escalation that serves neither them nor human rights, and also exacerbates tensions."
