Djiboutian Clerics Sentenced for Post-Election Violence

A Djiboutian court on Sunday (March 10th) sentenced clerics Abdirahman Bashir, Abdirahman God and Guirreh Meidal to one year and six months in prison for inciting violence and vandalism during the protests after the February 22nd legislative elections.

Defence lawyer Zachariah Mohamed told Sabahi he would appeal the court's decision, calling the entire case politically motivated.
