Many had cast doubt on whether The Gambia was ready for such an ambitious programme given the status quo at the time, but the visionary revolutionaries led by President Yahya Jammeh were more determined to have this golden programme instituted given the priceless impact it would have on The Gambia's socio-economic development aspirations inline with their Vision 2020.
