Liberia: The Imperative of Restoring the Hydro Dam

Most Parts Of Liberia remain dark and without electricity since the second round of hostility ended ten years ago. The country's Mount Coffee hydro dam was destroyed during the first round of the war years and since the restoration of peace and stability, successive governments have failed to get the hydro dam in operation.

Although Certain Locations of the capital, Monrovia, have some veneer of electricity; however, the entire country remains predominantly without electrical energy. In regions where multinational companies operate, the importance of energy is strategic to the overall socioeconomic development of the country.
