Nigeria: PDP, APC Trade Words Over Lagos Deportation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sunday described as "inhuman, abominable and callous", the arrest, detention and eventual deportation of 14 indigent Nigerians by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of Lagos State, which dumped them at night at the Upper Iweka bridge in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The accusation came as the All Progressives Congress (APC) clarified that contrary to claims by the Anambra State government that 72 destitute were dumped in Onitsha, only 14 indigenes from Anambra State were sent home from Lagos by the state government.
