Nigeria: Deportation Saga - Groups Back Fani-Kayode

The controversy trailing the 'Lagos deportation of Igbos' is showing no sign of abating as some pan-Yoruba groups Thursday declared support for the position taken by the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, over the matter and urged the aggrieved Igbos to stop further attacks on his person.

In separate but similar statements, copies of which were made available to THISDAY, the National Coordinator, Oodua Solidarity Forum (OSF), Olajide Julius, the Coordinator, Oodua Descendant Union (ODU), Adeyemi Aboderin and the National President, Yoruba Youths Assembly (YYA) decried the 'attacks' on Fani-Kayode over his position on the burning issue, especially as contained in his article: 'The bitter truth about the Igbo' and some others by him recently.
