Western Sahara: Gdeim Izik Detainees Call On Obama to Set Up UN Human Rights Monitoring Mechanism

Sale — Sahrawi detainees of Gdeim Izik group called on American President Barack Obama to speed up the setting-up of a United Nations mechanism for monitoring human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

"The situation in the occupied territories is more and more deteriorating because of the serious violations of human rights by Morocco, hence the need to speed up the setting-up of a UN human rights mechanism in Western Sahara," underlined the detainees in a letter sent to President Obama.
