IT was a historic and momentous occasion as the East African Monetary Union Protocol was signed and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta took over the mantle to chair the EAC heads of state Summit on Saturday.
With Kenya chairing, the Council of Ministers will now be headed by the country's Cabinet Secretary for EAC Affairs, Commerce and Tourism, Mrs Phyllis Kandie.
