Nigeria: Sammie Okposo Dumps COSON

Weeks after he called on the leadership of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria,BON, to respect the global standard of copyright practice following the lingering face-off between the body and the Copyright Society of Nigeria,COSON, gospel singer, Sammie Okposo has renounced his membership with the latter.

In a statement by his reps, Okposo's decision to leave COSON was based on what he calls "lack of transparency and accountability" on the part of the management of the society. The Glo ambassador wants COSON to stop collecting royalties and acting on his behalf with immediate effect.
