FOUR Murang'a county MPs on Saturday boycotted a function attended by Deputy President William Ruto. Jamleck Kamau (Kigumo), Clement Wambugu (Mathioya), Tirus Ngahu( Kangema) and Alice Wahome ( Kandara) snubbed thanksgiving ceremony for Murang'a women representative Sabina Chege despite invitations.
The four are said to have boycotted the event because they feel their colleague is undermining them. In the past few months there has been a standoff between the MPs from Murang'a and Chege, who is the chairperson of parliamentary Committee on Education. Some leaders feel the position is grooming her to become the political kingpin in the county.
