Kenya: University Students Stage Protest Over Arrested Colleagues

14 April 2014

A section of University of Nairobi students are on strike demanding the release of their 12 colleagues who were arrested last week and charged with being in possession of a gun. The students have camped outside the main administration and plan to walk to the Supreme court to protest. They also want the management to extend their examinations by a week, arguing they are not ready as they were occupied with the just concluded SONU elections.
