Gambia/Senegal: Senegal Test Delights Manneh

The head coach of the young Scorpions, Tapha Manneh, expressed delight for his side's goalless draw against the young Lions of Senegal, in a build-up match played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday. He confirmed that the game was a test for his players and that though the score was goalless it was a good lesson for them. "Looking at our game against the young Lions of Senegal, we played seven players who were not part of our game against Liberia - our first leg of the U-20 championship qualifiers," he informed.

Manneh said that kind of test game is part of their efforts to make the players ensure collectiveness. He commended the new players for dominating the Senegalese in the first 45 minutes, while hoping to see more efforts from them in their upcoming games.
