Ghana: Rains Rip Accra Apart

Torrential rains in the nation's capital on Thursday, has once again, exposed the poor drainage system in the city and served as another indictment on the authorities on paying only lip service to ending the perennial floods that inundate the metropolis each year.

Most parts of the city were yesterday submerged by floods, rendering most of the roads un-motorable. Heavy vehicular traffic were recorded in most parts of the Accra, as most of the roads were flooded, making it impossible for vehicles to ply their daily routes.
