Nigeria: Solidarity for Keshi

Almost all the ex-internationals here in Brazil are rallying round Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, even as the prospects of Nigeria qualifying from Group F has become a matter of 'life and death' following the draw with Iran last Monday. Though, they are pained that Eagles failed to take the advantage of an 'easy' Iran, they are however unanimous that Bosnia-Herzegovina may not end Nigeria's campaign.

Nwankwo Kanu, Waidi Akanni, Samson Siasia, Segun Odegbami and others remain hopeful of Nigeria progressing. But most members of the Federal Government delegation here are not seeing in that way. In fact, Senate President, David Mark, who gave the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) leadership a piece of his mind in respect of the 'Oliver Twist' demands of the Eagles and a few others are believed to have returned home after the match in Curitiba that left everyone sighing and cursing.
