On September 12, 2014 in Abidjan, African Development Bank (AfDB) President Donald Kaberuka received the Congolese Minister of the Environment, Sustainable Development and the Forest Economy, Henri Djombo. Discussions focused essentially on cooperation between the Congo and AfDB, including issues of environmental protection.

The Congolese delegation took the opportunity to take stock of preparations for the international conference on the trafficking of plant and animal species, to be held in the first quarter of 2015. To this effect, Minister Djombo asked the AfDB to participate in the organising committee.
