Liberia: Traditional Practices Causes Ebola Prevalence - Pres. Sirleaf

Describing the Ebola virus as an unknown "enemy" of Liberians at the Monrovia City Hall on Tuesday, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said she is inclined to hold responsible for the prevalence of the disease, those who continue to be in the state of denial and the habit of other traditional practices.

The President who hailed the role of the Americans in savaging the infliction of the heavy death toll the deadly Ebola virus on the Liberia people noted that she was notwithstanding disturbed by the denial of some people, the level of fear, the hiding the sick people in communities and burying of dead people without the Ebola burial teams, saying that these practices have resulted to the danger the people face from the prevalence of the Ebola viral disease.
