Nigeria: Gunmen Set 144 Inmates Free From Koton-Karfe Prison

Lokoja — One prison inmate was killed and 144 others set free on Sunday night by yet to be identified gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents from the Koton-Karfe Federal Prison in Kogi local government of Kogi state.

Daily Trust gathered that the gunmen raided the prison in four Hilux vans at about 9:30pm. The raid went on for two hours unhindered by security operatives.
