President Francois Hollande has vowed to "show no mercy" if French troops in the Central African Republic are found guilty of sexually assaulting children in exchange for food. The accusations follow a UN report.
French prosecutors and military authorities are currently investigating accusations of sexual abuse of children between December 2013 and June 2014 by French soldiers sent to protect civilians amid sectarian violence in the former French colony. The abuse reportedly took place at a centre for displaced people near the airport of the Central African capital, Bangui.
