Kenya: Obama Visit to Disrupt Schools

SOME private schools in Nairobi will be closed on Friday, the day US President Barack Obama arrives in the country. This is because Mombasa Road, Waiyaki Way, Uhuru Highway and other roads leading to the city will be closed during Obama's visit.

A spot check by the Star revealed that Riara Primary School has informed children not to report to school tomorrow. The same applies to Waridi Nursery School in Westlands. A notice to Waridi parents reads: "We notify parents there will be no school on Friday 24 due to the traffic disruptions excepted.
