A day after National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega submitted reasons to President Jacob Zuma on why she should remain in her job, the police ministry was on Tuesday expected to reveal how the country's crime rate had fared under her watch.
Issues of interest would be the murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm rate, which had increased in the 2013/2014 financial year.
