Ad-Hoc Expert Group Meeting (AEGM) - Review of the Study On "Corruption in Local Governance in Africa"

The ECA's Macroeconomic Policy Division (MPD) is organizing an AEGM in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Friday December 4th 2015, in order to review the draft study on corruption in local governance in Africa.

This research study is part of the Regional Anti-Corruption Programme for Africa (RACPA), launched by the ECA and the African Union in 2011. The overall objective of the AEGM will be for participants to discuss and provide comments and inputs, which will validate and enrich the content and structure of the draft Report. Specifically, participants will:

Critically review draft Chapters, identifying gaps, providing expert inputs, and proposing revisions on how to improve and finalize the Report;

Identify key elements to inform evidence-based policy key messages and recommendations;

Enhance and contribute to multi-stakeholder dialogue on, and understanding of the critical role of institutions in the implementation of Agenda 2063, the Sustainable Development Goals, and other Internationally Agreed Development Goals (IADG).

The outcomes of this AEGM will contribute in finalizing the study.
