Ethiopia: Commission Says U.S.$1.2 Billion Needed to Address Drought Effects

The Ethiopian National Risk Management Coordination Commission yesterday announced 1.2 billion USD is required to cope with the current drought that affected over 10 million fellow citizens. The Commission also noted that the support of humanitarian partners and NGOS is crucial at this particular period of time.

Launching the 2016 Humanitarian Requirements Document (HRD), Commissioner Mitiku Kassa said that the HRD is prepared by the Commission in collaboration with UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordination Office.
