Handeni — Heads of some public schools in Handeni district fear they might not be able to repay loans their schools secured last year after the government abolished school fees and other contributions.
Speaking to The Citizen, the teachers said some companies supplied stationary and laboratory chemicals to the schools through loans which they won't be able to repay as the money disbursed to them by the government was inadequate.
