Link Between Remittances and Development Studied in Rabat (Regional Workshop)

Rabat — The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA Office for North Africa) and the Economic Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) will organize on 1-2 February 2016 in Rabat (Morocco) a Regional Seminar on Workers' Remittances in North Africa and the Arab World.

Discussions will cover several ECA and ESCWA studies and workshops on remittances and their impact on development in migrants' countries of origin and participants will draw a regional comparative analysis from studies carried out in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen.

Representatives from countries involved in the study and international experts will attend this event.
