Rwanda: Drone Airports to Create Hundreds of Jobs in Rwanda, Says Afrotech Director

When AkilahNet heard about an upcoming drone project based in Rwanda, the first thing that came to mind was opportunities. The project has potential to create hundreds jobs, ease delivery issues, and position Rwanda as a world leader in cargo drone technology.

Rwanda was selected as the pilot location for the project, which will establish droneports, essentially drone airports, around the country as well as a network of routes to connect them. The initiative is led by Afrotech, École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Norman Foster Foundation, and Foster + Partners.
