Call for Papers - Industrial Policies in North Africa

The ECA office in North Africa is making a call for papers (presentation of astudies or articles) in preparation for its next Expert Group Meeting, scheduled on 22-23 November in Tunis (Tunisia) under the theme: "Territorialisation of industrial policy and inclusive growth."

This meeting will take place with the participation of academics and experts specialized in public policy territorialization and inclusive development and experts from ministries of industry, local authorities, institutions responsible for the territorial planning of public policies.

Participants will evaluate the territorialization of industrial policy in North Africa. They will identify obstacles and institutional reforms needed to ensure that industrial policies become more inclusive.

Candidates are invited to send their drafts to zbenhamouche@uneca.org by 30 September 2016. Papers should cover one of the following topics :

- A survey of public policy territorialization and coordination

- A survey of existing knowledge on industrial policy territorialization

- Global best practices and lessons learned for North Africa

- What reforms are needed in North Africa, for industrial policy to support more inclusive economic development?
