Algiers — The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced Tuesday on its official website the resignation of coach Milovan Rajevac.

"Milovan Rajevac resigned on Tuesday as coach of the Algeria team," said FAF in a very brief statement.

The Federation has not given any further details neither about the reasons of the resignation nor on the nomination of a new coach.

Early afternoon, the president of the FAF Mohamed Raouraoua and the Serbian coach Rajevac held a meeting at the technical center of Sidi Moussa (Algiers) following the draw against Cameroon.

Rajevac, 62, was appointed in June as coach of the Algerian team, replacing Frenchman Christian Gourcuff.
