AfDB to Launch "Feed Africa" Strategy in Southern Africa With Regional Workshop in Zambia

Lusaka, Zambia — The African Development Bank Group will launch "Feed Africa: A Strategy for Agricultural Transformation in Africa 2016-2025" in Southern Africa by hosting an implementation and engagement workshop in Lusaka, Zambia, on November 8, 2016.

The objective of this regional launch is to garner support by engaging stakeholders in Southern Africa with aspects of the Feed Africa Strategy directly relevant to the region.

The workshop will feature key statements by high-profile guests, a presentation of the strategy and a panel discussion featuring local stakeholders. It will provide an opportunity to discuss the adjustments needed for an efficient implementation of the strategy in Southern Africa.

The event will bring together a wide range of participants including Bank staff, local public and private sector partners, representatives of women's associations and youth, development partners and the media.
