Africa Zapping - a Pin-Sharp Francophone News Round-Up Format Crying Out for an English-Language Version

London — Every now and then you see a really neat programme format and Cote Ouest's Africa Zapping is one of them. It's a fast-moving, best-of news extracts that really gives a feel for what's happening around the Francophone part of this incredibly diverse continent.

To describe Africa Zapping as a news review of African television is to under-describe it. It simply takes short clips from different African countries (identified only by a small map in one corner of the screen) and runs them without commentary.
