The African Development Bank Group announced today the departure of Dr. Frannie A. Léautier, its Senior Vice-President. Dr. Léautier's decision to move on was for personal family reasons.
The President of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina said, "We will miss Frannie at the Bank. I highly commend her strong dedication and commitment to helping drive institutional reforms at the Bank. I am confident that the solid Senior Leadership Team we have built will enable us to drive towards greater success."
Commenting on the announcement, Frannie Léautier said: "It has been an exciting time at the Bank. There is no doubt in my mind that with President Adesina's vision and leadership, the institutional reforms and the solid confidence of our shareholders, the Bank will deliver even greater development impacts in the years ahead."
President Adesina also announced the appointment of Mr. Charles Boamah, the current Vice-President for Finance, as the Bank's Senior Vice-President. Dr. Adesina said, "This is a seamless transition. Charles Boamah brings over 25 years of development finance experience and deep knowledge of the Bank. He has done a remarkable job as Vice-President for Finance. As he takes on the role of Senior Vice-President, I am confident the Senior Leadership Team and our staff will continue the positive trajectory of our institutional reforms to accelerate the delivery of the High 5 priorities of the Bank."
