Nigeria: Firms to Build Capacity in Construction Industry, Train Artisans

Adeem Adex in conjunction with Dizayn Group is set to train builders, plumbers and other artisans on contemporary pipe laying and management technology.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adeem Adex Limited, Adediran Adekoya stated this recently at a special event in Lekki, Lagos to unveil premium products of Dizayn Group to building experts, oil and gas professionals and key players in Nigeria's construction industry.

Adekoya, who observed that no matter how good a product is, wrong installation could create problems that can affect the utility, longevity and durability, assured that the company would take up the role of offering regular training for artisans as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Speaking on the partnership with Dizayn Group, he said it would not be limited to distributing quality products but "our relationship with our Turkey based partners would be extended massively into project financing both in the public and private sectors."

He added that it would also be extended to include local production beginning from the first quarter of 2019."These efforts will bring greater economic prosperity for Nigeria and create more jobs for youths in the country," Adekoya explained.

Also speaking at the event, Lagos State Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Builders (NIB), Adenike Said observed that challenges experienced from pipes are mostly result from installation errors.

She therefore, commended the plan to train artisans and urged them to commence the programme speedily.Also, the Executive Vice President, Dizayn Group, Ihsan Aksu said that Nigeria is now one of the 80 countries Dizayn Groupwas operating in.

"We are happy that we are partnering with a dogged and reliable team like Adeem Adex and we believe in a short while, Dizayn products would be household names in Nigeria, especially in the building and construction sectors," he said.
