Nigeria: Police Nab Armed Robber, Recover Pistol in Gwagwa

The FCT police have arrested a notorious suspected armed robber, Ifeanyi Nwankwo, a.k.a 2minutes and recovered a pistol, axes and a sword from him.

A statement by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Omorodion Usen, said the suspect was arrested alongside eight others, including a female member, following joint operation carried out by the surveillance team of the command and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at about 6;00a.m. on Sunday at Gwagwa in Abuja suburb, while the suspects were currently in custody and were assisting in investigation.

The statement further said the FCT Commissioner of Police , Musa Kimo, has encouraged law abiding citizens of the territory to always assist the police with useful information that can help in making the FCT and its environs safer.
