Nigeria: Ogun Clears Air On $350 Million World Bank Loan

Abeokuta — Ogun State government on Monday cleared the air on the $350m proposed World Bank loan, declaring that contrary to a section of the media reports on the matter, the request was not rejected by the House of Representatives.

The State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Adenrele Adesina who briefed newsmen after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting at the Governor's Office Okemosan few hours ago, explained that "the true position was that the House only needed more justification for the loan and that does not translate to outright rejection of the World Bank request.
